Activities
Each year, BIVEC-GIBET organizes many activities centered on current topics in the field transport economics. Study days on transport are organized annually and are addressed to the members as well as to any person having an interest for the field of transport. The seminars are however only reserved to the members. BIVEC-GIBET attributes every two years a PhD award to the authors of a doctoral dissertation which brilliantly treats a topic related to transport economics or related topic.
Lastly, BIVEC-GIBET is opened to collaborate with other institutions or organizations in order to develop common initiatives which lie within the scope of its activities.
While Dutch and French were traditionally the working languages, most of our activities are now in English in order to reduce the translation costs.
